New Mics
I finally broke down and bought a condenser. I would have liked to buy
the Neumann TLM 103, but a 1000.00 dollar mic isn't quite in my budget
at this point...I did get a sweetass deal today though! I decided on
the Rode NT2-A, which has variable polar pickup patterns (Omni,
Cardioid, and Figure 8); high-pass filters (0 dB, -5 dB, and -10 dB);
and variable pad (Flat, 80 Hz, 40 Hz). Aside from the point that I
don't know what any of that means (aside from the variable patterns), I
will learn and make some sweet babymaking music for you! Billy at
Guitar Center also cut me a sweet deal too: The Rode retails for
699.99, and he sold it to me for 300.00. I also picked up another Shure
Beta 57A because they sound so good! Anyways theres the update, more to
come later.
